Every woman desires picture-perfect, glowing skin. Stressful lifestyles, hectic work schedules, inadequate sleep, lack of nutrition, pollution, harmful sun rays (UVA/ UVB), excessive smoking and drinking alcohol are the major factors which make your skin dull and dry.
Below are five home remedies to help make your skin glow.
1. Turmeric Remedy for glowing skin
Ingredients
2,5 to 5ml turmeric powder
60ml gram flour (also called chickpea flour)
Milk or water
Method
1. Mix the turmeric powder with the gram flour. To this, add enough milk or water to form a paste.
2. Apply the paste to your face and neck.
3. Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse off with plain water.
2. Coconut Oil Remedy for glowing skin
Ingredients
Virgin coconut oil
Method
1. Warm the oil slightly and apply to the face and neck.
2. Massage for a few minutes in gentle circular motions.
3. Leave the oil on overnight.
You can add some sugar to the oil and use it as a scrub to exfoliate your skin once or twice a week.
3 Aloe Vera Remedy for glowing skin
Ingredients
15ml aloe vera gel
A pinch of ground turmeric
5ml honey
5ml milk
Method
1. Mix all the ingredients well and apply evenly to the face and neck.
2. Leave it on for about 20 minutes.
3. Rinse with lukewarm water and pat dry.
4. Olive Oil Remedy for glowing skin
Ingredients
5ml baking soda (bicarbonate of soda)
5ml extra virgin olive oil
2,5ml honey
Method
1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
2. Apply the mixture on damp face and neck using circular motions.
3. Leave it on for 10 minutes.
4. Rinse with cool water and pat dry. Moisturise as usual.
5 Lemon Remedy for glowing skin
Ingredients
10ml lemon juice
10ml sugar
Method
1. Mix the ingredients and apply to your face.
2. Scrub in a circular motion and leave it on for 10 minutes.
3. Rinse off with warm water to reveal glowing skin.
4. Repeat this twice a week.
