Fun was had at St Luke’s family day and fleamarket

A potjiekos champion was also crowned

St Luke’s Methodist’s first-ever family fun day was a huge success, and it offered something to everyone’s taste.

“This was our first event of this type, but based on the success of today, we will definitely be doing this on an annual basis. We received a lot of support from the community, and there was an amazing atmosphere throughout the day,” said Angie Andrew, the church secretary.

Visitors were spoilt for choice with all the different types of food, arts and crafts and other stalls on the day. The main event of the day was preceded by a performance by Morgan Beat Box, after which the potjies were judged.

After a lot of tasting and much deliberation, the Visser family was declared the winners, and walked away with a fabulous prize.
