JRA to prioritise collapsed road in Welties

The roads had to be barricaded and closed after the bridge abutment collapsed on 31 July.

The Joburg Roads Agency (JRA) has apologised for the temporary inconvenience caused to road users by the emergency closure of 9th Avenue and Rugby Road in Weltevreden Park.

The roads had to be barricaded and closed after the bridge abutment collapsed on 31 July. JRA indicated that Rand Water contractors were installing pipes next to the bridge on 9th Avenue when the collapse happened.
