Roodebeeck outshines the rest

The Drummies exceeded all expectations.

“A year of hard work and long hours as well as days of practising have finally paid off. We are very proud,” said Laerskool Roodebeeck Primary School’s Principal, Margret Visser.

“We went to Oudtshoorn aiming for gold. We have returned home with it,” said the Drummies coaches, Renee Cloete and Sonja Nortman.

From 30 June until 3 July, Roodebeeck participated in the South African Majorettes President’s League Championships, held in Oudtshoorn.

Eighteen schools, representing all South Africa’s provinces, participated, but it was the Roodebeeck squad that was crowned Champion of Champions, exceeding all expectations.
