Radiokop gospel singer set to release second album

From humble beginnings in the North West, to performing on SABC's Morning Live show, Letlhogonolo Tlhoks Moloi has been on a long journey.

Born and raised in Magong, Tlhoks left his hometown for Johannesburg at age 15 in pursuit of his dream of becoming a successful gospel artist.

Over the years he has taken on a unique style of gospel singing, and often performs his songs in as many as eight languages, as he hopes to reach a wider audience. “I believe that music unites people, and therefore I perform my music in different languages,” Tlhoks said.

He performs in Setswana (his mother tongue), Xitsonga, isiXhosa, Shona, Nyanja, isiZulu, English, and finally Ibu. Throughout his career Tlhoks has found himself either performing or appearing in a couple of popular television shows, which include SABC2’s Morning Live and an appearance on SABC 1’s Daily Thetha Show.

He has also collaborated with a number of well-known gospel artists, including Dr Tumi, Kgotso Makgalema and Joyous Celebration’s Given Mabena. Last year Tlhoks released his first studio album, Ao Modimo. He plans to release his second studio album, Re bine later this year. He even travelled to Zimbabwe last December to record the music video for one of the singles off the album, Hi yena Xikwembu.

Tlhoks aims to connect with and inspire people through his music, saying he wants his music to touch lives and change people for the better.
