It is good to see that the alien bushes and trees are slowly being cleared all along Jim Fouché Road in Weltevreden Park.
I do hope though, that the cuttings are taken away afterwards and not left lying (as usual) where they have been cut. Come next season they will be covered by new grass and will just be another mess – some of these bushes may even take and re-grow.
Along the stream, close to the vet’s [premises], you can see where the stream has been cleared and all the mess left – thus making the banks higher, rather than clearing it all away and keeping the area neat.
By the way – has anyone made any comments about the amazing mural that has been painted on the walls between Ouhout and Without Roads?
