Claw received some much-needed help

Volunteers from Durban Deep were at Claw this year

This year was not the first time that a number of volunteers from Durban Deep and its surrounds went to Community Led Animal Welfare on Mandela Day to help keep the centre clean and tidy.

Sylvia Oepeng is sweeping up a storm at Community Led Animal Welfare.

According to founder, humanitarian and animal activist Cora Bailey, the women and children volunteer every year. “They arrive early and start cleaning the centre. Nobody asks them, they always just arrive. It is such a nice gesture,” she said.

Kenny Tshabalala is also lending a helping hand by sorting out the electrical wiring.
