A school filled with the Madiba spirit

I am extremely proud of my learners, they were outstanding.

Discovery Primary School had a joyous Mandela Day celebration on 18 July. The school was filled with the Madiba spirit.

The learners, with the help of the teachers, gave a concert in commemoration of Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday.

One of the items was a gumboot dance by which they illustrated the history of Madiba. They played songs about Madiba and had other dance routines. The learners also shared how Madiba has personally inspired them.
