Car plunges into wall after tyre bursts

The driver lost control of the vehicle late yesterday afternoon.

The driver of a car reportedly lost control while she was driving towards Wilro Corner Shopping Centre and veered off Ontdekkers Road during peak traffic time at about 4.30pm yesterday afternoon.

It is believed the front-left tyre of the car burst, leading to the woman losing control of her car and veering off toward the wall.

Luckily, the car didn’t plough right through the wall as it came to an abrupt halt against a pillar in the wall. Residents in the complex which the wall surrounds were startled by the bang of the car hitting the wall, and came out in their numbers to see what was going on.

Thankfully, neither the driver nor the passenger sustained any serious injuries, and neither needed urgent medical attention.
