Watch: Footage of truck shedding its load
The footage was filmed by a motorist who witnessed the horrific scene unfold.
A dashcam video has emerged of the tar truck that overturned yesterday, Tuesday, 17 July on the corner of Ouklip and Wilgerood Roads in Helderkruin.
The footage was filmed by a motorist who witnessed the horrific scene unfold. According to the motorist, it seemed as if the driver was attempting to avoid hitting a stationary truck (which cannot be seen in the footage), as well as the vehicle filming the incident and the VW Caddy. The truck slightly bumped the Caddy before shedding its load on the road.

The driver of the truck could not be found after the accident. The eyewitness alluded to fact that the driver got out of the truck through the sunroof and left the scene.
The incident is still under investigation.
