Local estate agent making a difference
The Strubens Valley-based agent gives back to those in need by volunteering at Dorcas Aid South Africa charity in Florida.
Local estate agent Buli Cosa is making a difference in the community by volunteering her spare time at a local charity organisation.
After she was approached by her colleague, Caroline de Wet, who needed someone to stand in for her on Wednesday afternoons, she decided that she wanted to be a volunteer and help out at the Dorcas Aid South Africa charity in Florida.
“On my first day there I decided that I wanted to be one of the volunteers,” she recalled. “I love people and I enjoy helping where I can. It made me realise that I was making a small, but significant difference in other people’s lives, giving people unconditional, positive regard that I often get back.
The smiles and thank yous when I am serving them give me great fulfillment. The feeling I get when I see smiles on their faces cannot be described,”
Buli said when asked why she continued volunteering.
