Wilro Lions thanks all volunteers at appreciation dinner
Support helped make Wilro Cycle Challenge a huge success
The Lions Club of Wilro Park recently held an appreciation dinner where everyone who helped make their annual Wilro Cycle Challenge a success was thanked.
The guests were treated to a delicious meal and drinks, and all the volunteers and sponsors who were part of the cycle challenge received a certificate of appreciation.
“We want to thank everyone who assisted at our annual race. Without you, it would not have been a success. All the money raised at the event will be used to make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves, through our Lions Community Projects,” said Sydney van Heerden, the convener of the race.
He concluded by thanking everyone who helped them to help others and said, “With all your help, we will be able to live out our motto of ‘Where there is a need, there is a Lion’.”
