Trolley pusher criticised for concealing wanted criminal

According to the information, one suspect was chased on foot and suddenly disappeared.

 

A trolley pusher allegedly assisted a suspect to evade arrest while being chased by security following a hijacking incident in Bergbron on Wednesday, 27 June.

According to information posted by SCP Armed Response on Facebook, the incident took place at the Gordon Oval Complex. The stolen courier vehicle is a Nissan NP200.

According to the information, one suspect was chased on foot and suddenly disappeared. However, he was quickly found hiding inside a trolley pusher’s bag.

This was the second incident involving a delivery vehicle on 27 June. Reports have also emerged of a cigarette truck that was allegedly robbed in Constantia Kloof. Apparently a silver VW Polo was involved in this robbery.

Both stories are developing, and more information will be published as it becomes available.

The Facebook post has since been deleted.
