Thirty-seven suspects were arrested last week during stop-and-search and special operations in the Roodepoort precinct.
The suspects, aged between 20 and 55 years of age, were arrested on various charges, including fraud, possession of drugs, contempt of court, murder and robbery, theft, shoplifting, possession of dagga, robbery with a firearm, possession of stolen wheels, negligent and reckless driving, attempted robbery, possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition, failing to furnish information, and common assault.
The suspects were all charged and detained at the Roodepoort Police Station, and will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon.
