Hirsch’s Strubens Valley hosts entrepreneurs morning

A group of entrepreneurs were treated to a special morning by Hirsch's Strubens Valley.

Guests at Hirsch’s Strubens Valley’s Entrepreneurs Morning were treated to hot coffee and muffins on a chilly winter’s morning.

The guest speaker for the morning was Louise da Silva from Eagle Cottage @ Just a Breeze, who pointed out the possible benefits of being a host on AirBNB and while also explaining the origin of the concept.

“Two young design students from San Fransisco needed extra money to pay their rent and decided to rent out their loft during a conference with just three air mattresses. From there, AirBNB was born and has grown into a multi-million dollar organisation worldwide,” she said.

“These days anyone can become a host on AirBNB if you can offer accommodation, be it a room in your house, a cottage, a castle or even a tree house.

“With a bit of initiative and willpower anyone can make much-needed extra cash these days,” Louise concluded.

Guests were then invited to introduce their own start-up businesses and valuable contacts were made.
