Twenty seven suspects, including one who has been charged with murder, were arrested last week during stop-and-search operations in Roodepoort.
The suspects, aged between 22 and 34, were arrested for reckless and negligent driving, assault with the intention to cause grievous bodily harm, contempt of court, possession of stolen goods, domestic violence, shoplifting, malicious damage to property, possession of drugs, possession of dagga, housebreaking and theft, dealing in drugs, common robbery, fraud, business burglary and murder.
The suspects were all detained at the Roodepoort Police Station, and will appear in the Roodepoort Magistrates’ Court soon.
