One injured in Witpoortjie accident
According to eyewitness vehicle skipped stop street
One person was injured in Witpoortjie, during a collision between two vehicles on the afternoon of Friday, 8 June.

According to an eyewitness, who lives on the corner of Gregor Street and Trezona Avenue, the female driver of a black Audi A4 was crossing Trezona Avenue from the direction of Mindalore. “The driver did not stop at the stop street, or at the centre median. She almost collided with an Uber car, and then actually collided with a white Dodge Ram travelling from the direction of Albertina Sisulu Road.”

The eyewitness added that the sound of the collision was so loud, she thought somebody had come crashing through their fence. “The male driver of the Dodge was flung from his vehicle through the sunroof, but when we rushed to his aid, he wanted to get up. We told him to lie still, as he was complaining of a headache,” she said.

Paramedics from ER24 were very quickly on the scene, and attended to the Dodge’s driver. He was transported to hospital for further assessment and care.
The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department, City of Johannesburg Emergency Management Services, ER24, Help24 and police were on scene.
