Charter College celebrated its 10th year with two days of events at the school which included various sports activities, a talent show, and even a cheese and wine evening for past students, staff and their partners.

The celebrations kicked off with a fun sports day on Friday, 20 April, which was followed by a formal cheese and wine evening for past students, staff and their partners.

The Interhouse Fun Sports Day ended with some tennis doubles, a volleyball match and a few netball matches.

By noon on Friday, the students were exhausted, but filled with a sense of excitement as the sports day was only the beginning of the two-day celebration.

Friday’s celebrations concluded with a formal cheese and wine evening.

The festivities then continued on Saturday, 21 April, with a formal assembly in the morning, during which Warrick and Alison Dodge cut the school’s birthday cake.

In the afternoon, visitors were able to bring their picnic baskets and were entertained by talented students who put on a phenomenal variety show.

The students, teachers and staff all put their hearts and souls into 32 very diverse and exceptional items.

The variety show commenced with the song Family (from Ice Age 4) performed by the Grade 8 students, and culminated with We are Family (originally sung by Sister Sledge) performed by all the members of Charter College.
