“The secret of living is giving”

Poor nutrition affects the educational outcomes of children, adult working capacity and economic productivity.

You too can change a life with the little that you have as it can go a long way to help the less fortunate.

Africa Food for Thought (AFFT) is a public benefit organisation that helps to provide food security to more than 18 0000 children to the west of Johannesburg.

It provides regular meals for children to enable them to concentrate in class and study well. AFFT supports 15 schools, 24 crèches, three community projects and 125 orphaned and vulnerable children.

According to the Children’s Institute at the University of Cape Town (UCT), it is estimated that more than 200 million children under five years globally will not achieve full cognitive development due to poverty, lack of proper care, poor health and inadequate nutrition. Research suggests that poor nutrition affects the educational outcomes of children, adults’ working capacity and economic productivity.

AFFT depends on sponsors, volunteers and donations to make it possible for them to keep on supplying food packages to schools.
