Power is expected to be restored this evening, affected residents of Weltevreden Park were notified in a tweet by City Power.

The power utility shared information about the outages that have affected residents of Welties since yesterday, 30 May.
City Power tweeted that the power disruption was caused by a third party installing a main water line. The tweet continued, stating that the soil underneath the water line is unstable; however, City Power technicians are busy with repairs on the feeder cables.
