Handful of top learners for Charter College
Five Charter College learners received awards from the Cambridge International Examinations board to acknowledge that they were named the best in the country in their respective subjects.
A handful of Charter College learners put in outstanding performances in the June 2017 Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and AS level exams and were crowned the best in the country for their respective subjects.
The Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards programme celebrates the success of learners taking Cambridge examinations in over 40 countries around the world.

The Cambridge curriculum places learners at the centre of its international education programmes and qualifications, which are inspired by the best in educational thinking and recognised by the world’s top universities and employers.
“We are very proud of the performance of our Cambridge learners this year, many of whom will soon face the new and exciting challenge of university. Our programmes help learners reach their potential and become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative and engaged. These learners have a bright future ahead of them and I wish them every success,” said Juan Visser, Regional Director of the Cambridge International Examinations for Sub-Saharan Africa.
This year, five Charter College Cambridge learners won the ‘Top in South Africa’ award for achieving the highest mark in the country in either a Cambridge International IGCSE or AS Level subject:
•Yuveshen Naidoo – IGCSE Information, Communication and Technology (ICT)
•Nonthando Madziwanyika – IGCSE English Language
•Zaryb Thakur – IGCSE Urdu Language
•Gary Peta – AS level Economics
•Kimberleigh Sun Hing – AS level Information Technology
