Forty suspects arrested during operations

Stop-and-search operations yield successes.

From 14 until 17 May Roodepoort Police arrested 40 suspects during stop-and-search operations.

The suspects, aged between 18 and 61, were arrested on the following charges – possession of drugs, possession of dagga, rape, malicious injury to property, theft and possession of stolen property, possession of unlicensed firearm and ammunition, shoplifting, fraud, common robbery, pointing of firearm and intimidation, possession of copper cables, assaulting a police officer, housebreaking and theft.

The suspects were detained at Roodepoort Police Station.
