HWA and Apcan join hands

"By supporting HWA, we are also supporting the community'

The Honour Wrestling Association recently received a boost through a two-year sponsorship deal from Apcan Security.

“This sponsorship is not only about financial benefit for us – we share a passion for our children. We believe this sponsorship will turn into a partnership, where we will be able to focus on our children. We want to keep them off the streets by offering them better alternatives,” said Steve Eden from HWA.

He added that he accepted the offer because of his love for the children, and he felt that Apcan shared that love. “Together we will create idols for the children, and, at the same time, we will aim to bring families back together. And, it will not always only be through wrestling shows.

We will also join in on family fun days and community days and we will also support anti-bullying campaigns, by hosting talks at schools and other events,” Steve said.

Johan van Zyl from Apcan said that they decided to lend their support to HWA because of their presence in the community. “By supporting them, we are also supporting our community. And, we also want to use our partnership to create awareness about security, specifically for children,” he said.

Steve said that he believes the partnership will be a huge success, because the two partners share the same values, and always do what is right. “There is no bigger honour than to be able to watch over our children, and it is up to us to ensure that there are some positives for them to see in this negative world,” he explained.
