Shop-owner shot at during business robbery

A shop-owner was left seriously injured following an alleged robbery at his shop at Morocco Street in Cosmo City on 10 May.

 

According to ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, the man was found lying inside his shop.

“ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 9.30am to find local authorities in attendance. The man was assessed and found to have sustained a gunshot to his upper leg, leaving him in a serious condition,” said Meiring.

He added that paramedics treated the patient and provided him with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Helen Joseph Provincial Hospital for urgent care.

“The exact details surrounding this incident are not yet known, but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations,” Meiring concluded.
