Woman dies after colliding with road sign
According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, ER24 paramedics, along with the Fire and Provincial services, arrived on the scene at 2am to find a crumpled light motor vehicle in the emergency lane of the off-ramp.
A woman, believed to be 25 years old, was killed in the early hours of 7 May when her vehicle crashed into a road sign at the Beyers Naudé Drive off-ramp from the N1 highway, close to Weltevreden Park.
According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, ER24 paramedics, along with the Fire and Provincial services, arrived on the scene at 2am to find a crumpled light motor vehicle in the emergency lane of the off-ramp.

“Upon closer inspection, paramedics found the body of a woman, believed to be 25-years-old, lying trapped inside the wreckage.”
“Unfortunately, the woman had already succumbed to her injuries. Nothing could be done for her and she was declared dead by the Provincial Services,” Meiring explained.
He concluded by saying, “The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.”
