Team Rage Kickboxing Club left their mark at the recent South African Championships that took place in Pretoria.
The competition spanned over two days, and seven kickboxers participated. “Initially we had eight kickboxers who qualified for participation, but Dyllan Opperman could not participate, as he had to have his appendix removed just before the championships,” said Darrin Opperman, coach at the club.

Charné Botha and Brandon-Lee Friedlander were crowned as South African Champions, after they beat their opponents in their respective weight categories.
The kickboxers brought back home 11 medals, Their achievements were as follows:
• Bianca Botha – one silver and one bronze medal
• Brandon-Lee Friedlander – one gold and two silver medals
• Charné Botha – two gold medals
• Clarise Luijk – one silver medal
• Cole Langa – one silver medal
• Wilhelmina Lombaard – one silver and one bronze medal
• Ryan Boshoff – fourth place
“Well done to all the fighters that competed at the SA Championships. I am very proud of each and every one of your achievements. You made me a very proud coach,” Darrin said.
