Appeal to help find stolen furbies

‘They were all I had’

“It would mean the world to me if I can get my two fur babies back; they are my life,” said an emotional Yvonne Langner.

The 78-year-old Delarey resident said her two dogs, Milo (Mielies) and Pekineus, were stolen on 22 March. “I went to Absa bank to sort out some irregularities on my account, and my two dogs went with me, like they always do. Before returning home, I stopped at the Ok in Delarey to get a few things,” she said.

This dog has been missing since 22 March.

But her life was to changed in an instant. When she came out of the store she saw that her car had been stolen. “I was inside the shop for about 15 minutes, and when I came out, my car – and my two dogs – were gone,” she said.

One of the dogs is a purebred white and brown Pekingese and the other one is a Pekingese and Jack Russell cross, also white and brown. They are both neutered males, not chipped and weren’t wearing collars.

Community members are urged to keep an eye out for these dogs, especially in the Delarey, Newlands, Bergbron and Florida areas. “Even though we are focusing on these areas, they could literally be anywhere, and I am pleading with the community to help me find them,” Yvonne said.

This dog has been missing since 22 March.

Anyone who knows where these dogs might be, or have any information about their whereabouts, contact Yvonne on 082 097 7346.
