Police impersonator caught by real police
The man was arrested and has since appeared in court.
“People are committing serious crimes by impersonating police officers. If a member of the community is not sure about the person stopping them, they must go to the nearest garage and call for help,” said Florida Police spokesperson, Sergeant Mpho More after police arrested an imposter on 11 April.
The police received a complaint about a Toyota Fortuner driving around Florida with red lights and a siren, and stopping people in the area. “The man wore a reflector jacked on which was written ‘Traffic Police’,” said More.
