Three brothers clean up at Talent Africa Championships

Roux brothers ready to take New York by storm

Three brothers from Witpoortjie participated in the recent Talent Africa National Championships, and did very well.

The Nationals took place at the Roodepoort Theatre, and participants from all over Gauteng competed.

The 13-year-old JC Roux, his 11-year-old brother, JP, and their five-year-old brother, JT, bagged nine gold medals between them. Luitha Roux, their mother, said proudly, “JC also achieved a third place in the Mr Talent Africa category and JT won the Best Personality award out of thousands of entries.”

The boys competed in the Casual, Swimwear and Formalwear modelling categories, and won a gold medal in each of them.

With these achievements, they were selected to be part of the South African team that will be competing at Talent America, which will be taking place in New York later this year.

“Even though we are extremely proud of the boys, the achievements come with a huge financial burden, as it costs R54 000 per person.

We will do everything we can to be able to make this happen for them, but, if there is anyone who would like to help with a donation, it will be appreciated,” said Luitha.
