Dedicated crime prevention unit to be reinstated at licensing station
New Deputy Director will enable decision.
Although no date had been set yet, the dedicated Metro Police Crime Prevention Unit at Florida Licensing Station, will be reinstated soon.
When the then newly appointed Head of Florida Licensing Station, Teddy Msimanga, requested the unit to clean up around the licensing station last year, they effected multiple arrests from April until June. But then the unit was withdrawn, allegedly due to internal politics in the Metro Police. But now the new Deputy Director of Region C, Sisa Mvumo, has agreed to get the unit back on the streets.
