Video (Warning Disturbing Footage): Near riot on scene of fatally shot foreign national
Fellow countrymen claim he was innocent.
Video footage of the near riot that took place at the scene where a Flying Squad member shot dead an alleged Nigerian drug dealer on Monday, 9 April, has surfaced on Facebook.

Matters nearly got out of hand during a tense stand-off between a large group of Nigerians and the police on the corner of Nelson Avenue and Fuller Street in Georginia. According to Flying Squad spokesperson, Karen du Plessis, a Flying Squad vehicle chased a suspicious vehicle from the Florida CBD to the location, where the vehicle was eventually pulled over.

The police members found dagga in the vehicle, but when they went to arrest the now deceased man, he ran for it and jumped a property wall. When they cornered him, he drew a knife and tried to stab an officer who subsequently shot back in self-defence.
