Maragon athletes on their way to D12 Champs
Six Maragon Primary athletes have qualified to participate in the District 12 Championships on 22 March.
Maragon Primary School Ruimsig began its athletics season on a high note at the Roodepoort Championships on 12 February, with six of their 22 participating athletes qualifying for the D12 Championships.
Of the six athletes who qualified for the D12 Championships, four also managed to qualify for the Gauteng Athletics.
Here is the list of athletes who qualified for the D12 Championships (those who qualified for the Gauteng Championship are marked with a (GC)):
• Obakeng Molefe (GC)
• Angela Nnagbo (GC)
• Ruby Tanner (GC)
• Luke Bull
• Abigail van der Sandt (GC)
• Thando Ngwenya
The Gauteng Championships took place on 2 and 3 March, but at the time of writing, the results were not yet available.
