Domestic workers learn additional cooking skills at Hirsch’s

Hirsch's Strubens Valley hosts a monthly domestic training workshop, with this month's focusing on cooking for a Paleo diet.

According to renowned health expert, and author of The Paleo Solution, Robb Wolf, “The Paleo diet is the healthiest way you can eat because it is the only nutritional approach that works with your genetics to help you stay lean, strong, and energetic.”

It would then make sense why Adele Guthrie from Meet Your Maid taught domestic workers how to make baked egg and ham cups at this month’s domestic training workshop at Hirsch’s Strubens Valley.

About 15 ladies from the area attended the workshop held on Thursday, 1 March.

A number of the ladies weren’t too keen about the idea of having to give up starches, but did say they would give the baked egg and ham cups a try at home.

After Adele had finished preparing the baked egg and ham cups, Nathaniel Johnson from Defy showed the ladies how they can make a banana and honey smoothie.
