Desperate plea from the Roodepoort SPCA

Hospital needs donations

The Roodepoort/Krugersdorp SPCA’s hospital is an integral part of society, and without it, many more animals would be left to suffer.

“Our hospital treats an average of 230 animals every month and performs 200 sterilisations. If the hospital closed down, there would be thousands more unwanted litters,’’ said Mandy Cattanach, the manager at the SPCA.

In an effort to help the hospital keep its doors open, she appealed to the community to open their hearts and help with the donation of items needed by the hospital to ensure its smooth running.

“We are in need of a bar fridge, two room thermometers, two fridge thermometers and a computer flat screen,’’ Mandy said.

If there is anyone that can help with the needed items, please contact the Roodepoort SPCA on 011 672 0448.
