School boy charged for stabbing fellow learner

Second incident also reported to police.

Two charges were laid with the Roodepoort Police relating to different incidents at the same school.

In the first incident, a schoolboy, age unknown at this stage, was charged with attempted robbery with aggravating circumstances yesterday, 26 February. The boy allegedly wanted to take another learner’s cellphone and when he refused to hand it over, the boy stabbed his victim. The severity of his injuries is not known.

In a second incident, a learner was charged with bullying (as confirmed by the Roodepoort Police) after he had taken a fellow learner’s cap, refused to give it back and then threatened that he would stab him if he told anyone.

Both incidents happened at a well-known school that was in the news recently following another debacle.
