Children swim their hearts out for worthy cause

This year the school had six children participating ranging from Grade 4 to Grade 7.

 

Trinityhouse Little Falls Preparatory School open-water swimmers have had a busy start to the year as they have been participating in various swimming competitions.

The youngsters competed at the Cradlemoon Challenge, the Platinum Mile and of course, the big one, the annual Midmar Mile that takes place near Howick in KwaZulu-Natal.

This year the school had six children participating ranging from Grade 4 to Grade 7. Some of the parents and teachers also took part – some of them swimming the mile in under 30 minutes.

The swimmers trained hard for this event and they did it all for an amazing cause. This year, the school chose to support Rainbows and Smiles, an organisation that raises funds for children fighting cancer.

Trinityhouse Preparatory School Little Falls swimmers who completed the Midmar Mile for charity, alongside coach and Head of Open Water Swimming, Chelsea Cutler.

Head of Open Water Swimming, Chelsea Cutler said, “It was an honour working with the amazing ladies at Rainbows and Smiles.

We are blessed at Trinityhouse to partner with their organisation and stand with them in support of all those brave little children fighting cancer.”
