Claw will be hosting the fourth Date-A-Dog event
Due to popular demand, the Community Led Animal Welfare’s (Claw) Benji + Moon event will once again be taking place at the Linden Market this year.
Claw will be hosting the fourth Date-A-Dog event, where the community will have a chance to meet some of the Clawbies (dogs that are looking for forever homes), take them on a ‘date’ through the market, and, if all goes well, leave with a brand new best friend.
According to Taren Welthagen from Claw, this event is very popular with the community, and they manage to find forever homes for most of the Clawbies visiting the market on the day. “Should your date go well, you will need to complete an adoption form, and pay the adoption fee of R650, which includes sterilisations and vaccinations,” she said.
The market will be taking place on 7 April from 9am to 3pm at 45 Thomas Bowler Street, Emmarentia.
Benji + Moon is a small artisanal range of locally handcrafted pet products that are made by talented community members and some established artisans. For every product they sell, five per cent is donated to Claw. Their range can be viewed at https://www.benjiandmoon.co.za.
“Come visit the market and give some love to a dog in need,” Taren concluded.
