“A two-year-old should be playing in the mud, not be in hospital fighting for his life,” said Nicole Claassens, the owner of Roxsport Gym in Helderkruin.
The Gym will be hosting a fun run/ walk on 24 February, in an attempt to raise money for Keanu Moore, and Nicole explained why. “One of the members at the gym came to talk to me about her two-year-old cousin who was diagnosed with stage four neuroblastoma cancer. Even though they live in Cape Town, I felt the need to meet with them and offer some assistance.

“Keanu will have to travel overseas to undergo immune therapy, which will give him a fighting chance, but the cost is astronomical.
The family needs about R2,5 million, and, even though I realise that our efforts might only be a drop in the bucket, it will make a difference,” Nicole said.
The fun run/ walk will take place at Laerskool Helderkruin and costs are R100 for adults and R50 for children. Registration will start at 6am and the races, which will be over 2km and 4km respectively, will start at 7am.
“One of the community members, Francois Lourens, has also issued a challenge to every Kruiner learner. He will donate R50 to the #cure4keanu fund for every learner who beats him on the day,” she said.
