Fed up biker takes matters into his own hands
Requests have fallen on deaf ears.
Last year motorcyclist Pikkie Visser warned motorists, especially motorcyclists, about the huge potholes on Trezona Avenue.
Visser rightly argued that although the potholes could cause serious damage to a car, it could be fatal for motorcyclists should they drive into them.

Visser appealed to the authorities to have the potholes fixed but his request fell on deaf ears. So a fed up Visser decided to protest against the potholes in a unique way. He planted a property advertising sign in one of the larger potholes and filled up the hole. He also stuck reflector tape to the sign and put a tyre painted white in front of it.
“Filling it up with sand does not work; neither does cement. Once it rains it is gone. I placed the tyre there to warn people since this hole has already caused two accidents,” said Visser.
The Record is awaiting comment from the Johannesburg Roads Agency.
