All eyes on the Dream Team
These two are at the pinnacle of a great athletics season.
Trinityhouse Little Falls recently kicked off its athletics season, showcasing their championship athletes in all types of athletics, and bragging about its best runners, who were dubbed the ‘Dream Team’ and are expected to produce glorious results this year.
In the midst of many champion runners, the school shifted focus to its incredible duo athletes, who have dominated their 1 200m cross-country races, namely the unstoppable bronze champion of the South African Athletics Association (SAAA) Championships of 2017, Rorisang Tsaagane and best friend Ben van Schalkwyk.
These two are at the pinnacle of a great athletics season. Whilst Rorisang dominates every 1 200m he runs, Ben is always hot on his heels, taking second place. In the 1 200m, they are Trinityhouse’s Dream Team.
While running is their forte, they are also strong academics.
“Rorisang Tsaagane is definitely a force to be reckoned with. He dominates and wins all his races. He is an incredible athlete and displays the highest level of sportsmanship. His best friend, Ben van Schalkwyk, is such an asset to our athletics department; he is a fast runner too. We truly have amazing athletes. So watch out, our Dream Team is going places this year!” said the Sports Coordinator for Trinityhouse Preparatory School, Wim van Eck.
