Numerous roads around Roodepoort are gridlocked since early this morning due to protests on Corlett Avenue, Progress Avenue and Main Reef Road near Durban Deep.
The protests are about worm-infested water at a school in Durban Deep.

The Witpoortjie area in particular is affected since South Road, Progress and Corlett Avenues have been closed for traffic. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes and exercise patience.
