Charterhouse learners participate in City’s clean-up project

The group of learners rolled up their sleeves while responding to Mashaba’s call and made sure that every bit of trash lying around the neighbourhood was binned.

 

Charterhouse learners heeded the plea of City of Joburg Mayor, Herman Mashaba, to support the A Re Sebetseng clean-up campaign which has seen communities across the city uniting for one purpose – to keep their city clean.

The group of learners rolled up their sleeves while responding to Mashaba’s call and made sure that every bit of trash lying around the neighbourhood was binned.

The children, under the guidance of their teachers, had a lot of fun and enjoyed hoots and cheers from passersby who supported the cause.

On the other side of Ruimsig on the same day, Ward 97 councillor Leah Knott and hordes of residents were out in numbers doing their bit to keep their surrounds clean.
