Pedestrian hospitalised after being knocked down

Patient was transported to hospital

A pedestrian was knocked down on Albertina Sisulu Road, close to the Nickel Street intersection, during the afternoon of 22 January.

According to Netcare 911, a call was received at approximately 1.25pm, informing them of the incident. “The reports stated that a pedestrian had been knocked down near Home Affairs in Roodepoort,” said Tebogo Magoro, spokesperson for Netcare 911.

Paramedics from Netcare 911, as well as other emergency services, were on scene and attended to a female who had been struck by a minibus taxi. “Fortunately, the patient, who is in her 20s, was in a stable condition and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further assessment and care,” he concluded.
