Jogger killed after being knocked over by car
She was declared dead on scene
A female jogger, believed to be in her 30s, was killed on 2 December when she was knocked over by a car while jogging on Hendrik Potgieter Road.
ER24 paramedics were called out to the scene at approximately 5pm, and when they arrived at the scene, they saw the woman was unresponsive.

After assessing the patient, the paramedics realised they could not do anything to save her life, and she was declared dead on scene.
“One of the passengers in the vehicle, a teenager believed to be 16 years old, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment,” said Annine Siddal, ER24 spokesperson.
Local authorities were on scene and the incident will be investigated.
