I recently had to renew my driver’s licence and obtain a temporary licence at the same time. It was a morning to remember. No long queues and very friendly people that directed you where to go, and then the most pleasant experience I have ever had at local authority, parastatal or government.
I had to wait in an office for roughly 20 minutes and in that time I witnessed the highly professional and pleasant manner in which Sebastian Seleka went about his business. The way he dealt with some nervous members of the public was a pleasure to behold. The office set-up was neat, tidy and clean with comfortable chairs. A pleasure to go there.
Then next door to the ever-so-efficient and pleasant Amanda Kok who processed my paperwork at lightning speed and left me with final instructions as to when I could collect my licence.
These employees are a wonderful advertisement for their department and should be highly commended.
What a wonderful example to the other Council Departments and especially the Government Departments. They should go and have a look at what efficiency, promptness and pleasantness is all about.
This kind of mindset and attitude is rather hard to find nowadays.
