Deceased man discovered next to Ontdekkers shrouded in mystery
Difficult determining which police station is handling the case.
When an employee of an events management company arrived at work early on Sunday morning (26 November), he made a disturbing discovery.
It was about 6.15am when he saw a man lying at a bus stop in front of his employer’s building. He phoned his wife, who happens to be a Caxton employee, and told her that although he did not check the man’s vital signs it was clear he was not alive. The police and emergency services were dispatched to the scene.

It is uncertain whether the man died of natural causes, due to foul play or whether he was the victim of a hit-and-run accident, although his body was found on the sidewalk, not in the street.
The Florida Police Station told the Record that Roodepoort Police Station was handling the case, but Roodepoort Police Station in turn said it was Florida Police Station’s case. Florida Police spokesperson Mpho More told the Record this morning (27 November) that she will attempt to get clarity as to which station is handling the case.
