The importance of arming your alarms
The ideal alarm systems for all home owners consists of a house alarm, a gate alarm, and an electric fence.
Home owners are advised to keep their alarm systems armed 24 hours a day if at all possible.
“There have been numerous incidents recently, both day and night, where alarms have not been armed therefore no activations have been received and homes have been robbed,” said Beagle Watch MD, Dave Casey
“The ideal set-up starts with an alarmed gate. This gives your response company more time to get to the scene, and in many cases, prevents the home from being robbed. It has also resulted in several successful arrests and failed robberies,” he explained.

Casey went on, saying, “This system alone has prevented many home robberies, gate-motor thefts, driveway hijackings and robberies. Added to this is the fact that it’s important to arm all your alarm systems. If you are at home, keep your gate and electric fence on 24/7, and your panic button on you. If you leave your home, arm all three – your home, gate and electric fence.”
