Round Table help those in need

Winter Knights is a hands-on national project where this organisation aims to support the community

The Roodepoort Round Table 162i was very busy collecting clothes and non-perishable items for those in need this year.

According to Stefan Haasbroek, a member of the Round Table 162i, the Winter Knights is a hands-on national project aiming to support the community by collecting donations from the public to give to those in need. He said this event is held every year during the cold winter months.

“Toyota South Africa was kind enough to put out collection boxes at various dealerships in the area. They contacted us when the boxes were full,” Stefan said.

Harcourts Rhino Real Estate in Helderkruin collected 50 fleece blankets. Wimpy Princess Crossing held a Winter Knights collection and not only donated free coffee to those who donated generously, but managed to collect two trolleys full of non-perishables and blankets.

“We were also supported by Northriding and Florida Round Tables,” Stefan concluded.

Winter Knights handed some of the donations to the Record to be distributed to those in need.
