Brace yourself for a planned water interruption
Taps are expected to run dry in Allens Nek and Constantia Park areas next week.
On 28 November, from 8am to 8pm, Allens Nek and Constantia Park residents will experience a water supply interruption.
This, according to Johannesburg Water, is due to the installation of a Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) to ensure the newly installed 400mm water pipe does not burst again due to high pressure in the system.

This process will affect Weltevreden Park and Constantia Kloof as well, where residents may experience lower water pressure than usual. JW’s spokesperson, Eleanor Mavimbela said,
“This is due to water being diverted from another pressure zone to ensure a continuous water supply.”
