Substance abuse treatment offered for free
Community members invited to use free service
André Brink, an addictive behaviour specialist, wants to help those in the Florida community who cannot afford treatment.
He is the owner of the Life Insight Centre in Florida, which specialises in the treatment of drug and substance abuse. “It seems to me that the people of Florida think there is no drug abuse problem in their community, because in the past six years, they have never knocked on our door for help. Some say there hasn’t been a serious drive by anyone in the area to help those in need because there isn’t a Local Drug Action Committee (LDAC) in the area any more,” André said.
He added that every other community around Florida has approached them for help, and they have done a detox in Westbury, Riverlea, Eldorado Park, Robertsham, Ennerdale, De Deur, Cape Town and Bathurst.
“Some communities have even gone so far as to get people within their community trained by us, in order to offer assistance with drug abuse issues,” he said.
He urged everyone in the Florida community to take the opportunity and benefit from the free treatment for drug and substance abuse offered by the centre.
“We do treatment from 8am to 9am, Monday to Friday, at the centre, which is situated in Suite 03 (first floor) in the Medix Pharmacy Building at 8 Goldman Street, Florida,” said André.
For more information on the services offered, contact André on 072 570 1710 or send an email to purposeandre@gmail.com.
The centre also has a website, which can be found at www.lifeinsightcentre.co.za.
